3 REASONS WHY WE DON’T SELL CROP TOPS
If you have been following Vercei’s journey, then you may know that the brand came about to bring equality to the fashion industry. We are in an era where gender is no longer binary and we think brands should be more inclusive to customers.
We love that brands create a variety of different products for consumers, however, have you ever noticed that designs are completely different in the ‘Mens’ section vs the ‘Womens’ section?
Whether you love them or hate them, there is no denying that crop tops are trending right now and they look great. However, we want to breakaway from the stereotypical designs in traditional gender sections and offer the same products and designs to everyone who visits Vercei.
Here are three reasons why….
1. INCONVENIENT IN COLD WEATHER
More and more hoodies and jackets are getting shorter for females, which is confusing to us, as one would assume that if you want a hoodie or a jacket, you would want it to keep you warm, right? Have you also noticed that a lot of jackets in the womenswear section are getting shorter at the back? Trying to find a decent size leather jacket in the women's section can be challenging at times but they do exist...it is like a needle in a haystack. Do you ever wonder why mens jackets do not get any shorter? We have racked our brains to figure out the logic behind shortening jackets for women but we just don’t see one.
2. WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT FEMININE?
Crop tops are traditionally seen as feminine and immediately exclude consumers who do not identify as super girly or feminine. There are so many cool brands out there that have great designs in the mens section, only for shoppers to find the same design cut off halfway in the women’s section. For these non feminine shoppers, they are then either forced to shop in the mens section or not at all.
3. Value For Money
We believe in providing high quality clothes to our customers, so we want you to have full value for your investment (meaning full length products). After all, why cut the quality t-shirt in half, when you can have the full tee for the same price?
